Historical Significance:
The Veterans Memorial is a monument dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our country’s armed forced. It is a place of honor and reflection for veterans and their families and friends as well as a place to show respect to those service men and women who have and continue to courageously service our country.
The Revolutionary War Patriots marker reads, “This marker commemorates the men and women who achieved American Independence. These Patriots, believing in the noble cause of liberty, fought valiantly to found a new nation. 1775-1783”
The marker installation marks a local celebration in anticipation of the America 250 Project of DAR, part of the nationwide commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 led by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission.
